Litehouse
About Us

Vision
Litehouse is about cultivating a Church that is antiracist and equitable.
We strive to be “peacemakers” – which sometimes will include making trouble – by changing hearts and decentering Whiteness. We seek a Church where White and Black Christians can come together: where White Christians stay, listen, and do the hard work of repentance; and where Black Christians voice truth, lament, and anger, and achieve reparation—and where, together, the hard work of truth, confession, repentance, and reconciliation happens.

Mission
We seek to influence the Church through Christian Base Communities, casting a prophetic and gospel-centered vision of liberative relationships. Here Litehouse will provide a meeting space of repair and reparation where Black and White Christians form and foster reconciliatory and restorative relationships of seeing and being seen in equity.
"We must come to see that human progress never rolls in on wheels of inevitability. It comes through the tireless efforts and persistent work of men [people] willing to be coworkers with God, and without this hard work time itself becomes an ally of the forces of social stagnation."
- Martin Luther King, Jr., "Letter from a Birmingham Jail"
